Not Back to School-2010

Well, I officially have- or rather unofficially have, I still haven’t sent in their registration- a second grader and a primary student on my hands. Yesterday there was no hurry to get the kids out the door for one day of school before Labour Day weekend. We didn’t have to spend a whole bunch of money on back to school supplies and clothes. Instead, we spent the day celebrating having another year together to enjoy each others company.

Morgaine taught us how to play her version of a game that Daddy invented for us.

We had a picnic lunch at Petersfield Park…

….including lots of blackberries picked along the trail.

We even did some self-directed school work without it seeming like they were learning anything at all!

Have a great year learning, everybody!
