Holiday Bliss 2010 – Day 3

Homemade Christmas presents are something that I am trying to do this year. I thought it would be a good idea to go along with the whole trying to cut back on the commercial aspect of the holiday. What is nicer than receiving a present that has been handcrafted by someone you love, right?

It’s been an experience as I really am only mediocre at crafting and adding a baby into the mix adds a whole new degree of difficulty to my projects. However, I’m loving seeing gifts taking shape all over the house.

A sweater taking shape for Ruadhán.

Felt fruit and veggies (in a valiant attempt to rid the house of plastic)

I kept my poor baby awake to model a hat I’m making for a friend.

I have a long, long way to go if I hope to accomplish all that I’ve set out to do but I’m loving it!

Do you craft over the holidays? Do you make handmade gifts? Hop on over to Brenda’s at Garden of Learning to share some of your holiday traditions!
